Based on reviews posted on popular review sites as well as from Acer Nitro 5's website, Acer Nitro 5 performs very well in terms of battery lifespan relative to other gaming laptop stores.

Based on a review posted on tomshardware.com, Acer Nitro 5 was rated as fairly average for battery lifespan relative to competing gaming laptop stores. Check out the entire review here. Specifically, this reviewer pointed out the following:

The Acer Nitro 5 contains a 48Wh battery, which is smaller than its competition. However, the i5-8300H and GTX 1050 Ti don’t consume very much power, so the Nitro is capable of over 2 hours of uninterrupted game time.

The review site laptopmag.com gives Acer Nitro 5 excellent ratings for battery lifespan in a review posted on its website. From this review:

The Acer Nitro 5's battery life is middle-of-the-road for budget gaming machines. It died 4 hours and 44 minutes into our Laptop Battery Test 2.0, which involves continuous web surfing at 150 nits of brightness. That's an hour less than the advertised 5 hours and 30 minutes, and 8 minutes short of the budget-gaming-category average (4:52). Category leaders like the Dell G3 15 (6:37) lasted significantly longer than the Nitro 5. Others were the opposite, like the short-lived Asus TUF Gaming FX504 (3:57) and the MSI GL62M 7REX (3:33).

The review site techradar.com gives Acer Nitro 5 excellent ratings for battery lifespan in a review posted on its website. From this review:

Surprisingly, the Acer Nitro 5’s battery life is better than you’d expect from a budget gaming laptop. Gaming laptops, in general, are notorious for their bad battery life, and we are not surprised that this guy only had 3 hours and 20 minutes worth of juice when we ran our Guardians of the Galaxy battery test at 50% brightness. Though it is worth mentioning that the more expensive and much-better-performing Asus Strix Scar Edition, which this writer reviewed prior, only reached 2 hours and 15 minutes.
